Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms are similar to colds and flu. They include a high temperature, a cough and a loss or change to your smell or taste.
You can help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) by getting vaccinated and taking care when meeting other people, such as meeting them outside.
While you’re staying at home with coronavirus (COVID-19), you can ease mild symptoms by resting, drinking plenty of fluids and taking painkillers.
Treatments for coronavirus (COVID-19) include antibody and antiviral medicines. They are only for people at highest risk of becoming seriously ill.
1. Dancers attending Class
1.1. If any dancer is feeling unwell with any symptoms of Covid-19, a cold, the flu, stomach upset or just not feeling right in themselves, within two days prior to the class, we ask that the dancer does not attend.
1.2. If any dancer attends class and becomes unwell, they are to inform the instructor straight away and leave.
1.3. The instructor will ask the dancer to complete a Covid-19 Flow Test (these can be brought from a Pharmacy, or you can get them off the Gov.uk website) and to inform the instructor of the results.
1.4. If any dancer becomes unwell after class and they complete a Covid-19 Flow Test, which is positive, they are to inform the instructor within 48 hours of the test. The instructor will then inform other attendee’s via email. *Your name will remain anonymous, and information protected under GDPR. *
1.5. Failure to follow our Covid-19 Policy could result in people becoming very poorly. Remember, we don’t know what underlining medical problems others may have.
2. Instructor having covid
2.1. If the instructor is feeling unwell with any symptoms of Covid-19, a cold, the flu, stomach upset or just not feeling right in themselves, then they will inform the class via email, text
message and a Facebook message to cancel within 48 hour.
2.2. The instructor will inform the hall company/charity/council to inform them of the cancellation.
2.3. If the instructor has been at the class and then has any symptoms, they will complete a test within 24 hours and inform the attendee’s via email, text, or a Facebook message.
2.4. The instructor will keep all attendees updated of their progress by email, text, or a Facebook message.
2.5. The instructor will complete a Covid-19 Flow test, the day before any class, on the day of the class and the day after the class.
3. Entering the hall and face masks
3.1. Everyone entering the hall (either at the start or after using the toilet) must use the hand sanitizer provided.
3.2. Face makes or face guards can be used in the classes ran by Line Dancing with Gav, if you wish. This is not a current legal requirement and wont be enforced by the instructor.
4. Cleaning of Table and Chairs
4.1. If at anytime the covid-19 rates rise, the instructor may ask dancers to wipe down any chairs or tablets they have used. The instructor will provide the anti-bacterial wipes, and these will be disposed off in a bin liner.
5. Covid-19 Regulations and closing of dance classes
5.1. If at any time the class must close due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Government Rules, the instructor will keep everyone updated via email and on the Facebook page (@linedancingwithgav).
5.2. If the class close then the instructor will make the decision, if the class will be carried out online or cancelled until the Government Rules changes.
6. Payment for class
6.1. Line Dancing with Gav accept cash payments and card machine payments.
6.2. Anyone wishing to pay by the Card machine can speak to the instructor on the day or via email. Payments are protected and your only be charged the fee of the class. On bank statements it will show up at ‘Sum Up – Line Dancing with Gav’. None of your bank details are shared with the instructor.
